How to share a Musaic project with someone

You can send a whole Musaic project, not only the finished video. Share via iCloud Link creates a link, Share as file hands a .musaic file to AirDrop, Mail or Files. The other person gets an independent copy with every take, layer and effect, the lyrics and the animations, and can keep editing it; changes do not sync back. Sharing is free.

You need: Musaic on both devices. For the link, iCloud on your side.

Steps

  1. Long-press the project

    In the project list, long-press the project.

  2. Choose a way

    Share via iCloud Link… or Share as file…. Inside a project, Share project in the More tab creates the iCloud link.

  3. Send it

    Send the link in any message, or the file by AirDrop, Mail or Files.

  4. Open it on the other side

    The receiver taps Paste iCloud Link… in the project list and pastes the link, or opens the .musaic file with Musaic. The project appears as a new project in their library.

Good to know

  • Do changes sync back?

    No. The other person gets a copy. To send changes back, they share the project with you.

  • Is there a size limit?

    Musaic sets none. iCloud's own limits apply to the link.
